1979 Seamaster 815

Designed by Holman & Pye, built by Seamaster Yachts Ltd, this model has a well deserved reputation for build quality & sea keeping ability. Easily sailed single-handed. Sea Mistress was sailed to Portugal single-handed by her previous owner. Standing Rigging was replaced, together with a mast service, 2012. Sailed only about 100 miles since, and vessel laid up ashore since 2013. Normal end-of-season maintenance together with a little TLC should see this enjoyable yacht restored to active service. Engine starts readily. Can achieve up to 6 knots under power with clean bottom - 5 knots in mid-season condition. Known issues: Current condition reflects the long lay-up, with some cosmetic water damage (due to a window leak - since repaired) mainly in the heads compartment. Sea toilet has recently been serviced however the discharge seacock will require attention in order to benefit. Electronic wind speed/direction instrument - displays direction only (plus there is a Windex) Distance/Speed Log instrument display appears to be defective (Hull fitting appears ok) Sails include 2 x Genoa, 2 x Main, (Storm?) Jib, Cruising Chute, Spinnaker & Snuffer. Mains & Genoas would benefit from cleaning & 1 minor repair.
